By the way, just as a reminder, all taxes are now paid in the Elko County Treasurer's office, and all vehicle registrations are handled at the Department of Motor Vehicles office at 3920 Idaho St. here in Elko.

Veterans and Widows

It is that time of year again, so many of you will be receiving a blue and white card in the mail asking if you want to use your veteran's or widow's exemption the same way you did last fiscal year. If you don't wish to change your exemption, check the box that is next to the sentence that says you want to use it the same way you did last year, sign and date the card and be sure to return it to us so that we can process it and get your Motor Vehicles voucher to you prior to July 1. The vouchers will be good for registering any vehicle that needs to be registered after July 1 and before the last day of June next year. You can mail the cards back to us, or drop them in the silver drop box that is in the parking lot on Court Street directly across from the Nanini Building, or you may bring them directly to the office which is on the ground floor of 550 Court Street. Questions? Just give us a call and we'll be happy to help you!
