By the way, just as a reminder, all taxes are now paid in the Elko County Treasurer's office, and all vehicle registrations are handled at the Department of Motor Vehicles office at 3920 Idaho St. here in Elko.

Pre-Seizure Notices will be sent shortly for Manufactured Homes

This is a reminder that manufactured homes with tax bills under $100.00 are now past due.  The Treasurer's office has added penalties.  In order to avoid further costs and penalties, the bills need to be paid by October 1st.  Although you can pay taxes up to the day before the auction, it is important to know that after October 1st, the total due will jump by at least $200.00 to cover the cost of publication for the Manufactured Home Auction and posting fees for seizure notices that must be placed on the homes themselves.  The Auction is tentatively planned for November 20th of this year.  The list of homes to be auctioned will be available on November 10th and will be viewable on the Elko County Website on the Assessor's home page.  All payments made after November 10th must be by money order, bank draft, or cash as we cannot be sure personal checks will have time to clear after that point.  There will be no exceptions without permission from the Assessor.  As always if you have any questions, please feel free to contact this office at 775-738-5217.
