DMV Veteran and Widows and Widowers Exemption Holders

We are so happy to find that the changes to our DMV exemptions are being so well received by taxpayers who qualify for those programs!  Just remember, every year you will continue to receive the blue and white card you get in the mail asking if you want to use your exemption on your vehicle.  Now that you have a permanent card to take to DMV rather than the old paper vouchers, it becomes doubly important to be sure to return that card as that is what activates your exemption for the upcoming fiscal year.  If you go to DMV, or try to use your exemption on line, and you have not returned your blue and white card, you will get an error message and will continue to do so until you return that card and we update our system.  If you have any questions about the program at any time, be sure to call us at 775-738-5217 and we'll do our best to address your questions.
