The Elko County Assessor's office has undergone changes you need to know about. Our operating system vendor, Advanced Data Systems will be closing it doors very shortly, so we now have a new operating system through DEVNET. Our website has a new look, but once you take a moment to look at it, it is very functional. We are still in the fine tuning stages, so if you see something on the website which does not appear correct call us at 775-738-5217 and we will help you.
One thing you will notice is that you will go to Assessor parcel maps differently. When you enter the Assessor parcel number on the website, you will be taken to an over-view page with tabs on the right hand side that you can click. One of them says maps. When you click on the map link while in a parcel number, it will take you to aerial photography of that parcel. A small box will pop up with a blue link to the plat map, and you can click on it for the Assessor's plat if you need a copy.
If you have gone to the Web GIS portion of the website, and have located a parcel, but need an owner name and assessment information, when you click on the parcel, the same box will pop up. It has the Assessor parcel number for that parcel. You can click on the link for the assessor plat if needed, or you can click on the other blue link which will take you to a page where you can enter the parcel number to retrieve ownership and assessment information. Eventually the link may take you directly to the assessment information, but for now and perhaps for a while, an extra step will be needed.
Regretfully retrieving sales data is still being worked on, but if you call us, there are things which we can suggest to make retrieving sales data available through different methods.
As always, we will be glad to help you with any issues as we go through the transition to the new operating system and website, but we need to let you know this will be an ongoing process and we regret the inconvenience this may cause you while we wait for the website to be complete.
