We are very happy to announce Elko County now has a convenient drop box which can be used for paying taxes, returning Veterans and Widow's cards, Business and Ranch Personal Property Affidavits and so on. It is located in the new parking lot, opposite the new building on Court Street. It can be used as a drive-thru when entering the parking lot from Pine St. or the entrance closest to the Public Defender's office building. Simply go through the lot and exit at the Court Street exit closest to 5th Street. It will be a silver box on your left as you exit the parking lot. We know parking can be problematic in the down town area, and we hope having a drop box will be helpful for those of you who need to drop off forms or payments to the Elko County Treasurer or the Elko County Assessor.

Exemption Renewal Cards

Just a reminder to all of you who are participating in our exemption program. We have just mailed out the blue and white cards which should be returned to our office by June 15th. You should expect to see them in your mail box soon. This card, when filled out and signed by the person who has the exemption, lets us know how you want to use your exemption. If it is the same as last year, just check that box, sign the card and date it and return it to this office. If you wish to use it the exemption differently, and you have any questions, give us a call at your convenience and we will be happy to help you change the manner in which it is used.
